Description
Our Handmade Ceramic Bottle is designed by Especially Puglia and made in Grottaglie, Puglia, a town known for the Italian pottery and ceramics. The story of Grottaglie ceramics began in the 8th century A.C., when the rich red clay that was so abundant in the area was first used to make the necessary vessels for daily life.
Pitchers, jars and urns called “capasone” were handmade to carry or store water, wine, oil, vinegar, and food supplies. We glazed the upper half of our ceramic bottle with an ivory color, and the bottom half is the natural color of ceramic. The bottle will hold 500ml of EVOO.
