You will receive olive oil from the year’s crop, harvested from your tree and its sister trees in the same grove.
IS THE OLIVE OIL EXTRA VIRGIN?
All of the olive oils from our producers are from a single harvest, first cold-pressed and extra virgin.
ARE ALL THE FARMS LOCAL?
All our farms are located in Puglia. Find out more here.
ARE ALL THE FARMS CERTIFIED ORGANIC?
No, but they all use organic or sustainable methods of farming, even if they aren’t certified.
CAN I CHOOSE WHAT I WANT IN A FARMSHARE BOX?
All FarmShare crates are filled with a careful curation of products we love and use ourselves — and we hope you enjoy them, too. At this time there is not an option to pick and choose, but please let us know if you have any food allergies.
DO I HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR A FARM SHARE IF I ADOPT AN OLIVE TREE?
No … but we hope you do! There will be special discounts for those who do.
WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY UPFRONT FOR AN ADOPT AN OLIVE TREE OR FARMSHARE?
Participating in the Adopt an Olive tree or Farm Share program is a way of supporting farmers. By paying upfront, you are supporting our local Pugliese farmers directly, and allowing them to have funds needed to kick-off his growing season. We think it’s a great way for consumers to participate in the growing process from start to finish.
WHEN DO YOU DELIVER MY ADOPT AN OLIVE TREE BOX?
The olive harvest happens in November — exact time and length of harvest depends on nature and varies each year. After harvest, pressing, packing and shipping, the earliest deliveries will arrive mid-December and we keep delivering through March. WHEN DO YOU DELIVER MY FARM SHARE BOX?
If you sign up for a spring/summer box, you’ll receive produce from the spring/summer harvest that are prepared and packed and ready for delivery in September/October. For fall/winter subscribers, you’ll receive your box in March or April.
